Living in the truck is a viable way to live for short to medium term. Some truck stops have laundry machines & dryers. Bobtail the tractor to a grocery store or Walmart for groceries. Every truck stop has private showers, free if you have shower credits from fuel purchases. Getting packages from Amazon or loved ones is the biggest hassle I remember. I used a competitor to UPS store at a city I went past alot. They would hold a package for me for 7-10 days. I could pick up during business hours. They charged me $5 per pick-up.

Amazon has those lockers/drop points, whatever they are called. I have seem them at Love's and many other places.
You just need to know where you will be staying 1-2 days from 'now', depending on the delivery schedule for that item.

Nice! When I was living in the truck out West 3 years ago those lockers were NOT in truck stops. The thing about them, with Amazon, is you only have 3 days to pick up your item or it goes back to Amazon. So you have to calculate the time it takes Amazon to deliver and the time you will be at the same locker, and be correct. If you do it right, it's free and convenient. That's awesome. Pick an Amazon locker on a route you travel over and over. I was "based" in Boise, but only really drove past Boise 1-3 times per week on way to/from SLC, and Portland, OR, Seattle, WA.
