My decision was already made. Just wanted some current info. And to respond to your negativity @Sneakerfix, I've done much harder work than anything coming out of these FD trailers. This is light work. The positive will be sleeping in my own bed, and spending time with my 3 year old... AT HOME. All while making the same if not more than lazy drivers who don't want to slide some boxes down a roller and move a few pallets, (with an electric pallet Jack). Not to sound like an #######, or anything, but to each his own. Different strokes for different folks. I'm actually very excited to do this type work and be home. To anyone who has something informative, press feel free. #WaitingOnThatCall

Didn't know that saying you'll earn every penny was negative in anyway. If you take that as negative I'm not sure how you'll handle it then. As posted above best of luck too you and the call.

I am at EPES and was looking into the Family Dollar account as well, about 3 years ago. I know this much.....Rodney Edwards is the DM. He's a great guy. They are using liftgate trailers now, on most accounts. There are SOME accounts that you 'hand unload' but they are trying to 'phase' that out, from what I've heard(don't quote me on that). You work pretty much Sun evening through Fri...with Saturday off....CANNOT MISS ANY DAYS AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!(Main reason I did not take it, if something happens with my kids or wife and I gotta go, from what Rodney said, I can't miss any days, I won't get home until the end of my week, and THEN would just have to take a week off, or a few days!).....3 service failures and you are terminated! It's a pretty rough schedule but they say $1K a week......but at .42 cpm and 2200 miles a week(OTR) you can make that EASY! Good luck and hope this helps!
PanthersPride and Sneakerfix Thank this. -
Jb pays much higher for family dollar drivers but we are not out of charlotte . You should get some sort of stop pay plus unload . Charlotte is palletized front royal is not and when i left at the begining of the year they had stoped converting the rest of the dcs . It was 47 cents a mile 22 a stop and 100 per unload out of front royal with jb .
PanthersPride Thanks this.
