I called on this load from Dayton NJ to Winchester VA approx 300 miles for the run. The load #0846009 is not posted for drop trailer or any other instructions
He said the trailer needs to be dropped of for 24-48 hours??? $800
Lets be realistic the whole US industry depends on DAT's report and every one pays them about $300/month and they claim openly that they give actual data.
Some of the members (who might be on the aggressor's side) say DAT reports have absolute zero value, and false. If that was true, then there will be millions law suits against them. I have attached today's market stats and the listed load. What would you do this load for???
Epes Logistics good or bad

I'm not La Cosa Nostra but I never use that data and will have to agree Epes have largely always been cheap freight kind of folks that I couldn't really connect with on anything worthwhile. Sounds like they're trying to make 60% plus off of a load where the customer said "uh, oh" and Epes is giving them options. For $800 on something that might take 3 days is ridiculous, $2,000 maybe, but there'd be a stipulation after 48 hours wait time to get loaded truck goes on the time clock $75 an hour. Take it or leave it.
windsmith Thanks this. -
I'd have told them $900 plus $800 a day storage....

How many days do you call for a load to book one??? This is 3rd for me in a strongest market of NJ. Here are today's stats and look at Roadrunner he is offering pocket money for work for him. Approx 800 mile run for Whopping $900. DAT is where they base the next year's projections and plannings. Gov looks at it , Industries depend on its report and the Economists wait for their data before giving final word. And they are paying them millions of dollar for this hardcore data, not a joke. So just don't say that DAT is giving fake or wrong info to every one who is paying them $300/month to $600/ month for larger companies.

atrucker - just an observation from reading your numerous posts. You don't seem to be taking the advice of the successful O/Os on here and you keep doing what you do with no success. Sort of the definition of insanity IIRC.
When the successful folks say do or don't do something, you appear to ignore them or give a rebuttal on why they are wrong. You keep having the same issues though.
Like I said, just an observation. Not trying to pee in your Post Toasties. Good luck with your biz.Ruthless Thanks this. -
Who is picking is this kind of loads and what for??? Here is Knight Brokerage, posting this load to Charleston SC for $800 over 700 miles run. WTF

I've hauled a few epes out of NC. Solid rates and no problems getting payment. 800 is rather low I would have to agree

oh man, don't get atrucker started again. He hasn't been on here in a while, maybe the secret government spies in the black cars with dark tinted windows finally caught up with him. He always claimed they were following him around, holding him back so he couldn't get decent rates from brokers.
