We just left Valdosta yard. Had to catch the service truck. Some body dragged trailer into home repo, now had to replace a few tires!

Guy on service truck had the two tires replaced in under 20 mins. But just did catch him was about to go home. Some one had slid them to nothing. Trainee was driving to the yard and asked if that was us or the road, it was us! If last driver did A pretrip he should have could it. If he missed it that time he should have caught it on his post trip! If would have told somebody, the service truck is right there in town, he would have fixed it!

not to "pigeonhole" anybody here...but I have ran into a few of our...."gold teeth/diamond teeth" co-workers that were all like, "I ain't gonna fix dat ####. Leave dat fo the next driva." And I was like, "ok, thanks alot, bud. Hope you get a DOT inspection, and a nice hefty fine!" It does suck to hafta start your "clock" only to find out you have something to fix.....but atleast, in the company's eye's, as well as all the good drivers, we're the good guys...doing our job! I know about 2 weeks ago, my DM told me to make sure I did a "proper PT" on an empty before I left the yard with it....my reply was, I've called in 4 times on bad trailers to get fixed, at least here, I won't hafta wait on a service truck to come out to me. And do you know about any bad trailers I've left behind, sounds like you do.....what do you know? They just said, people have NOT been doing ANY PT's on trailers and making sure it's getting done. OK, well, that's why I sent a breakdown message, if trailer is crappy, they need to crack down on drivers NOT doing their job, ya know? But, it's NOT a perfect world....everybody's in a rush to do something else. *shrugs*
