Hope you packed some warm clothes. It's #### cold up here. Is it really winter coming on again already? I hope for no snow this year lol god knows I saw enough last year to last 2 years lol

 

well...I'm off to Paramus! Good thing I packed warm clothes this week. Now if I can quit getting all these EBI loads that pick up at 1200 when I deliver at 0800 around the corner!

 

At least it's light. Seems like I was just up there. Woke up about a hour before appt time , they open the doors inside , and had me half unloaded , when I walked the bills in .

 

my whole point is....if I get something off the yard that is due at 0700 in Danville, why should I go 3/10 of a mile for pick up that isn't ready until 1300? Then they wonder why I'm late! I wasted 6 whole hours and don't have any time to get through DC....especially when I'll hit it right at 5 o'clock! Next time this happens to me, I'm just gonna turn the preplan down......it's one thing to wait 6 hours to get loaded and unloaded....but to wait about 6 hours for a drop and hook is just stupid, if you ask me! And this has been the case for me for the past 4 weeks in a row!(excluding the past 2 weeks when I actually got a break from that place and the 6 hour wait on a load that was drop and hook!) I guess I'll have to have a face to face conversation about this.....I'm losing money and wasting time delivering a load 1 mile from pickup(on next assignment) when it won't even be ready for 6, sometimes 7 hours and it's a drop and hook! When did they start opening the doors inside at Paramus? Last time I was there, about 6 weeks back, it was just like all the other Ikeas. Oh well, bedtime in Chester, as usual! haha

sorry I missed you. Had to hit the hay at 1730.....but got up at 0100 showered and now I'm waiting for unloading and preplan. guess it's back to living on 95, as usual! I'm thinking I just might go local before to long......I feel like a local guy that just sleeps in his truck right now! haha

 

pretty sure you guys knew this...I didn't...for those that don't.....even ran into one of our guys asking me if I'd ever been to Paramus....hahaha....and after I got done scanning my paperwork! Told him the 'ins and outs' of getting in there...it is kinda tight when you get off of 17 onto Ikea Dr. Did you guys know that there is a full cafeteria in there? The guy that came and gave me my paperwork told me about it. Said if I was staying the night, they have a cafeteria in there and I could go and buy something to eat! Thought that was pretty cool! I know, before it was turned into a drop and hook...the Ikea store in Charlotte has a shower in it for the drivers....really nice one too! The first time I was there, before it became a drop and hook, I stayed the night there....woke up for my live unload, they let me use the bathroom and said, while you're at it....there's a shower in there too....boy did I hit that up! haha

 

anyone out there gonna 'join' that protest tomorrow in DC? Glad I'm not gonna be around that....they send me 95 north...sorry I ain't going! Besides....we could have an awesome trainer from USA teach his 'finest' student to REALLY block traffic, like that video that's going around! hehe
