Equal length fuel lines important?

    I don’t think the lengths need to be the same. I replaced all of mine a few years back. The T is on the left side of Truck. The lengths are very different, to further complicate things, I somehow hooked the lines up wrongly. Now the shut off valve labels Left and right Tanks work opposite, I’ve never fixed it, decided easier to re- label the valve. Haven’t done that yet. Lol. Main thing is it all works fine.

    Every truck I have ever owned or driven with top draw lines would equalize with out the engine running. I will sometimes just fill one tank in the evening if I am running short miles the next day, and usually fill the drivers tank. Both my w9 and international have the sending unit in the passenger side tanks and will be half full after a couple of hours.

    That said, I changed all my lines on the W9 a couple of years ago, and didn't even think to make them the same length, it will not draw out of both tanks now unless I play with the valve on the one it draws out of the fastest, to get it sort of close.
