I have a 2020 Cascadia.
This truck sucks. I've got 3 million miles behind me, and this is the worst truck I've driven.
It rides like a shopping cart going down the stairs. Gave new shocks and it was great, for three weeks. Then it went right back to the shopping cart. But that's a different issue.
What I'm experiencing with this truck is that when parked and shut down, it seems as if the electrical systems go to sleep.
After a half hour or so of being turned off.
It takes multiple clicks of any switch to turn on an overheadlight. The map lights do the same thing.
Once you turn on anything thing, be it an overhead light or a map light, everything goes back to normal, as if you were waking up a computer.
The trouble comes in because the espar heater does the same thing. The heater will not turn on unless I turn on a cab light or something else first. Then a few minutes after the lights are off, the heater stops too.
I have only had this truck since spring, so I wasn't aware of the issue before.
The only work around I've found is to leave the switch on or to set opt-idle. Of course then the thing is using more power and idles periodically.
Please tell me this is not normal for this truck.
Esper bunkheater stops working when the bunk lights are turned off.
