My one ex had an OCD thing she did that made enough sense that I adopted it. She would only EVER lock the door of her car with the key fob in the handle. And could never close her car door unless she had her key in her hand.

 

Pretty wise practice. These modern Kenworth trucks are setup like that where you have to lock at least one door from the outside with a key.
