Oh I didn't work because there wasn't enough freight lol. My meet guy called in today so I'm looking forward to not working today also.

Yesterday was my 6 year anniversary at Estes tho boys. It's been a wild ride! I'm thankful to still be here and thankful they took a chance on me. I've learned a lot doing LTL and I still may retire here... Hopefully.

Wonder how much the ransom is for? Obviously Estes doesn't plan on paying it. Thus the delay getting the system back up and running. Probably trying to figure out what they can save. Such a shame, we were really rocking after Yellow went under. Who knows how much goodwill will be lost here. Going to hurt for awhile, plus slow down in economy working it's way.

Congratulations, you are now fully vested on your 401k. Everything the company contributes is all yours.

Company contributions (max 3.5% of your pay) are not yours 100% until you have been with the company for 6 years. Starting at year 2 it is 20% and add 20% more each additional year until the 6th year. At 6 years you get it all, past and future. They call this vesting.

I'm still lost lol. So if I left at 2 years, but the company matched 1K... of that 1k, I'd only get like $200? I literally had no idea about any of this.

Good thing you're around because they didn't break down ANY of this. I'm literally just finding this out from you and you're a guy basically from the "other" company lol.

How's everything been on your end? I'm kind of thrown off with the cyber attack and everything. Idk what's going on at work since I haven't worked all week.

    EstesWest Thanks this.

I'm not hating on you, but it's all spelled out in the benefits paperwork you signed. It's one of my pet peeves, people not reading or understanding the benefits package so they don't know what they are entitled too.

Take some time this weekend and read through it all, you may be missing out on some goodies.
