What a punch in the gut, that sucks.

Did they suggest you “move closer” with a wink and a nudge? As in just use someone else’s address or rent a UPS box in town…

 

They didn't say. Just said they also turned down a guy that was 75.8 miles. I called HR/recruiting and they verified it was the 75. Why not check all that before you give me an orientation date.

 

Find a friend or acquaintance that lives within range and rent a shelf in a closet. Problem solved.

Just puzzles me they would get as far as setting up my orientation then calling saying I'm over 2 miles from the 75. Just weird.

 

Not weird, just the way trucking management operates today.

 

Well just gave them a new address, manager called me back said safety told him because my application had previous address it was beyond the 75 mile limit (by 2 miles), they will not hire. I can reapply when they have another position open but must live at new address with that address on my license. They wasted my time
