ESTES Express (5 Year Review)

I'm just irritated. I made 3 trips two being interviews, last for the physical/drug screen, was told everything was good to go from safety once drug screen cleared. They called me said we could go ahead with orientation then call back and say rejected for living outside the 75 mile. Unfortunately in my area just south of Roanoke, their isn't hardly any ltl carriers that are hiring. Roanoke never hires out of the estes terminal there.

 

They told me I didn’t have enough driving experience. 13 years OTR and 2 years local absolutely nothing on my record of any kind. lol

 

I was told by a different LTL that 12 years at a mega was a 'red flag'.

 

Some terminal managers are weird dudes.

 

Funny, they act like one. 2 miles? HA!

 

2 months ? That’s crazy. I want to move and there 1 of a few co.s I was thinking about. 100k is great and all but a lot of jobs pay that now. I made quite a bit ovr 100k in 95 but that was on the worlds strongest horizontal drill rig. I worked for a few 1099,s the last 4 yrs So that probably writes me off. Exp from the 80,s & trained by a captain of the dot & in charge of the hhg rig trk line too. Etc.

 

I was hired with an out of state license and used my sisters address for Estes. Think they just threw up that road block on his license because it was after the fact. If he would have done it right to begin with, within 75 miles, no problem. Have to read those hiring requirements closely and comply.
