Nah 6 days we talking 3500+ miles. 7 days 4000 miles if the circumstances are right. You got to get to West Texas. El Paso is the money shot.

Yeah I can only make it to like Odessa/amarillo on a 6 day. 5 day I’m usually at 2700. 6 day around 3200, and I haven’t done a 7 day, that’s a bit much.

Ouch. That sounds like a lot of work. -
You have to understand also you're just at a bad terminal geographic wise bro. You're too close to the east. One 600 mile trip and you're right in Rochester, NY. A GOOD start for you would be Louisville to STL to KCK and then BED. Given where you are, you're not gonna get to run Texas 4000 miles and be back home end of the week. You're lucky to not be at West Middlesex or Williamsport and all them stupid terminals on the east. If you want more miles dude you're gonna have to either force it with Central or stay out.
By force it, I mean tell them at the beginning of the week "I want 600+ miles a day, nothing less!" I've done it before and someone like Arienette or Tom or Will (at night) for #### sure will get it for you. One more thing too. I didn't run nights on the extra board. Your best bet is to run days. When I had hours I would call Central during the day and tell them I wanna run now. Most times, they'd let you go. -
It's really not. A simple big money week is...
Day 1... Memphis to Dallas 475
Day 2... Dallas to El Paso 625
Day 3... Tucson Turn 650
Day 4... Tucson Turn 650
Day 5... El Paso to Dallas 625
Day 6... Dallas to Memphis 475
3500 miles.
To make it shorter, sometimes I'd just do 1 Tucson Turn, go back to Dallas, and then home Friday night. Come back to work Monday morning.
Also remember running days and turning on the 10, that 6th day is like me starting work Friday night at 8pm and being home by 7am. Your time gets pushed back so much you'll end up on nights like you shouldn't been. You'll squeeze in more runs tho.
@jtaran06 you've seen the stubs. I've ran 4000+ miles straight Texas alone and still made it back home. Had like 2 hours on the 70 tho. -
Yea you made the $$ for sure. But id prefer to run at night. I had traffic and all the people out on the road. At night I have ran 650 miles in the Northeast. I hated it but it can be done. Just easier out west. Those kinda miles make me cringe. I ran 6500 miles week team at R&L and drove 750-800 a shift my self. F that! I am on my 8th night tonight and I still have 12 hours on my 70. Shows you how much I sleep or go sit at home on the clock. Im not doing the best $ wise but its paying the bills.
@KaoMinerva when you going back out on the board???????John Joel Glanton Thanks this. -
You’re asking the same one who says nobody else wants to work?
jtaran06 Thanks this. -

Is El Paso TX one of the better cities for a LTL driver wanting good pay, quality of life, and nice driving lanes?
