Hey everyone, I'd like to get some opinions please. I have a choice between linehaul positions with Estes or Holland out of Detroit and I'm really torn between the two. Which would you choose and why??? Thanks and stay safe!!

Holland is a teamster shop and Estes is non union if that has any bearing on your decsion.
Those 2 barns are literally right around the corner from each other in Romulus. I still haven't gotten a call back from big E after my first interview a couple weeks ago, probably going to r+l here in a couple weeks.
Estes is a solid company in my opinion. Lots of freight going through that terminal and sounded like good hours (you're linehaul you'll get mileage), I'd choose them. (If I ever get that call maybe I will lol #notholdingbreath) -
Yeah, the Teamster deal with Holland is one reason I like them, simply for the pension. Also, Holland doesnt pull doubles, but I think their linehaul guys have to do some dock work. Estes pays almost 10 cpm better with no dock for linehaul.

Saia in Dearborn and old dominion in Troy are advertising for linehaul drivers as well. I've heard odfl is top notch.
Research that pension thing with holland tho, they're owned by yrc, who's had some difficulties lately. -
Yeah, I talked to a couple people today who said there have been big changes to the Master Freight Agreement on pensions. That bears research.

Yeah... I live much closer to Romulus and Dearborn but I have heard good things about OD so maybe I'll check them out too.
