Jimbo your experience is not a lot different from mine, although my times driving have been stretched out more. I have been on and off the road, dealing with family issues, trying to find meaningful employment in between, failing miserably, and ending up back on the road. I am with a good company I had been with before. You probably will have to suck in a refresher course somewhere. I would call someone like Prime, who has a great training program, and you would be able to train and drive at the same time. It IS a good company, despite all the BS you see on this and other forums.

Old? I am only a couple years behind you. The Bible says that man is given 120 years, so we are not even middle aged yet! :biggrin_25525:

Most importantly, hang in there! There IS a reason for everything. Like OMD, I most definitely appreciate having a decent job after so many attempts to get something different... And like you said in your original post, it gets in your blood! When I cut myself, I bleed half blood and half diesel fuel! :biggrin_2556:

Winchester Magnum and Jimbo56 Thank this.

when ever i do a jersey run, its straight on down, and right back. very rarely do i have to go to a different place, but oh yes, i did the U-turn's (that go under or over the roads) and the "bear right at the light" only to see the light pole IS the corner.....!!!
and i'm glad you did not turn in your CDL.....

:whax:It is OK to give in. It is OK to give out.

But you NEVER, EVER give up.

    That ain't what truckers do.

We always figure out a way to get the job done. Understand ?

:biggrin_25514:You don't need your own authority to work for a farmer. I drove for one from April to Oct. hauling corn & beans. He had his own. :biggrin_25514:
