Yes, it should have been $1,170. I think someone in the company is skimming. Tried to tell the driver leader and he just put it off. He said to wait a few more weeks and then we would talk about it. He said the same thing a month ago.
The main reason I drive here is that I get to driver modern high tech tractors. The money comes second, but still.... It is low.
Even flipping burgers pays more

I'm a former smoker, i vape now. My wife is a heavy smoker at over a pack a day. The smell nauseates me. I gag anytime she gets close me after she smokes.
Every truck I've gotten was smoked in, except for my brand new mack that builders gave me. It had 12 miles in it when i got in it.
Of the smoked trucks, you'll have to deal with it. Smoking and trucking go to together like bars and beer.bzinger Thanks this. -
Personally, I wouldn't put up with all that crap, driving around for free collecting abandoned trucks, then having to cleaning up said trashed truck. Waiting around for free, like someone else stated doesn't seem like they're that busy with freight. Oh ya some will mention the "old days" of trucking twin sticks, plywood across the seats of a day cab for a bed, no A/C or power steering... Back then men were men... Ya but back then the rates were higher, meaning you actually made money. Today all this is lost. You have to drive 4k miles a week, actually work 80+ hours a week @ .35cpm. After you break it down you're better off flipping burgers or bagging groceries..... At least you'll be home at night and actually get paid for hours on clock. Bottom feeder mega companies don't care, hire a hundred if one person lasts a year it's a success.
Hotplate Thanks this. -
I don't mean disrespect but this job is what you make of it overall
And NOTHING gets handed to you ..I hate smoke smell too and the truck I just bought stunk ...clean every inch of it and it will go away .hoosiergirl and Lepton1 Thank this. -
And anyone who works for 35 cpm without getting serious accessory pay is either new, has a crappy record, or is not bothering to find the work that pays what they are worth.spyder7723, hoosiergirl, Lepton1 and 3 others Thank this.
