    I think the question to be asked about whether the company should clean the truck for a new driver isn't what is fair, but what is reasonable. Fair means nothing because it means something different to everyone.

    I would venture that its reasonable to expect a company to give a truck the ArmorAll and shop vac treatment but beyond that, you're on your own. You aren't buying this truck, you have zero dollars invested in this deal, why would anyone expect a steam clean and full detail? That's a frill, a luxury. Its a mutually beneficial relationship as you make money from them and they make money off your work but they are the ones taking most of the risk and putting up all the money in this situation. Mechanical problems? Sure that's all on them. But not deep cleaning their truck for a day one driver.

    You want to have value as an employee? Bring solutions to the table, not problems
