Ever been a worse time in recent history to buy a truck?

I wouldn’t be surprised rates will go higher. Especially in reefer. Doesn’t mean we are making a lot more. Inflation is the difference between past rate shifts. If we are making 15k a week and fuel and equipment goes up, are we doing better? price out a reman X15 performance installed with warranty lately. We’ll no.. There are not enough trucks or trailers in the market to haul the required amount for the economy and to feed the growing population. Every soul coming across the border needs fuel, food, housing, and merchandise. Not enough young folk running to our field.

How so? New trucks are not coming in, winter weather will kill thousands of running trucks on the road at the moment, old ones can't be fixed at the rate they are breaking down due to lack of parts and labor, 18 year olds.. will take time to learn and get experience till they can drive actual interstate, Vaxx mandate to cross the border.. Who's going to haul? Few the brave ones?)
