    Handheld camera/phone?
Better hope nobody with an axe to grind and time to kill sees this video. They'll get you for blowing the scale AND use of a personal electronic device. Hell, there might be some law against filming a scalehouse. Better delete the video dude.

Out here on the EC once you get past MD/VA very few scales are open regularly. So there's this weird phenomenon (mostly NJ) where guys will park right before the scale and wait for it to close.

    (?!?)

Although some people park before the scale and take their 10. I don't get it.

I’ve done it more than I’d like to admit. Been chased down twice, Luckily they were very understanding.

I live in Illinois and I pass the scale house on I80 (both directions) numerous times and not once have I been stopped...now I will admit some of those times were by accident and other times I just didnt feel like stopping....but one state I dont mess with at all is Indiana they always waiting to catch someone blowing off the scales.

    Ok..
I know that I was in the wrong, asking for it, not being professional , bla bla bla.
I got away with it for over 3 years straight driving that old Rattleliner.
    I paid the price.
And it gives me that warm fuzzy feeling inside knowing that I had made someones day...who knows? Maybe he got an attaboy or promotion or something. Chasing down an old empty lowbed is something to really be proud of. Right? Now....since they had me back at the scale house , they figured they would really stick it to me and run me thru the inspection bay. Oh boy... here goes.
    Long story short,
Cost of running the W/B Banning scales while empty....$630.00 and 1.5 points.
Getting stickers on my truck and trailer 15 minutes after signing above ticket , priceless.
