Ever wonder what question's to ask a new company before signing on with them?

alot of companies wont even talk to you if your a student

Hub miles...actual miles driven. Company I used to work for (before they went out of business paid hub miles. However, if when you turned in your trip sheet and the miles were way off from book miles (like 200+) then they'd question it. If you had a reasonable answer, road closure due to weather, accident, construction, then they would pay the extra miles.

We had one driver who had a load that went to Charleston WV. He saw Charleston and headed to Charleston, SC. Realized his mistake when he got to North Charleston, SC. He only got paid from terminal to Charleston WV. All those miles from York, PA to Charleston, SC to Charleston, WV, he drove for free.

With the economy down now, can you find good deals on used trucks, between '04 and '07? Goal one day is to buy my own truck and hopefully find a good company to lease on to or contract out to, running from Virginia to Mid-West States. Are we in a wait and see or do I just stay a Company driver the rest of my life?

It's a drivers version of dac...there are companies I won't work for now...because of rip off report testimonies...

the stuff these companies do to drivers...is now coming to light...
