The next technology monitor will be "Speed Limiters" and I would venture to say right now, 50% of the trucks out there have already have "speed limiters". Within the next 5 years all trucks will be required to be have them. Then, watch what I say right now, it is coming that trucks are going to be restricted to the right lane, not 100% of the time, but I would say at least 60%. Between the law makers and insurance companies, the days of the freedom of the highway is quickly coming to an end.

You do realize forward facing camera only turns on and records during harsh breaking, accident etc? Company I’m with pays 2 cents for having forward facing camera if you want it.

That’s not possible. It would be useless to record after an accident or whatever else they monitor as the cause/evidence would be gone. So when they say it’s “triggered” and it records so many seconds before and after, what does that tell you????? It can’t go back in time and record, therefore it is recording all the time.

Most of the camera systems run on an internal loop, usually about 10 minutes and unless something triggers it, the system just writes over the previous time.

Yes, but it’s still recording all the time. The company’s just use creative wording and drivers fall for it.

Grouch, alds and Lonesome Thank this.
