My mirror arms lock into one set place so they are where they’re supposed to be I think.. when I back into trailers the drives are never straight with the trailer when I get out and look. Still don’t feel like I’m getting full scope in right mirror trailer doesn’t look straight.

Is there play in the drive line? Your fith wheel could be messed up. I had one , the pin hole was egg shaped, where the fifth attached to the frame. So the trailer would move back and forth. But only on the left side. So the trailer would drag right.

    RubyEagle and JayTemp94 Thank this.

Thats got to be one of the scariest things I've ever heard a driver say. Does no one teach new drivers anything about a truck or just how to hold the wheel and put it in drive...

Well saying drive line to me is a pretty general statement which can include many things. But think about it for a second. DRIVE LINE.. what drives the truck and moves the truck... to me driveline can include transmission, driveshaft and rear ends. Could through the engine in there too.

Checking it would involve getting under the truck and looking for things that look out of place. Loose bolts, worn bushings, leaking oil, wiggle the driveshaft and anything else you can put a hand on. Use a flashlight
