No Wonder That The Trucking Industry Is In A Shambles. Over Regulated By The Department Of Transportation, Shortage Of Experence Drivers ( The Experence One's Got Fed Up ). Low Pay. High Fuel Prices, Lies From Carriers And Over Reaction From Law Enforcement.
30 Years Ago When I Was Given A Dispatch, I Routed The Shortest Route And Took In All Factors Like Weather, Traffic, Fuel Stops, Mountains And Gave A Little Time For "what If's"). And 99% Of The Time I Delivered On Time Or Picked Up A Load.
Thoes Days Of Freedom Are Gone. Drivers Today Are Trained With Gps Tracking And Satellite Communcations, Electronic Routing And Were To Fuel. Take This Away And There Lost.
There Are Drivers Who Apply For Postions With My Company That Don't Even Know How To Opperate A 10 Speed Shift, They Were Trained With Automatics. No Wonder!

 

I agree with you Scotty....As for the cop,I say this every time one of these low lifes get busted..He's only the tip of the iceberg.Google badcopnews and you'll see this kinda thing happens several times a day.I hope he enjoys his new boyfriend Bubba tho'.
