I can't answer for other company's but salary is not an option for me pulling thanks OTR, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to be on salary otr driving a truck. The trucking company would rape you hard core in guessing if you were. Probably with some low salary of like 1100 bucks but have you pulling some rediculous amount of miles. I could be wrong but I for OTR you should only be seeing pay in form of percentage pay. For example 29 pct of the load pay or either by mile. I would pull for as low as 28pct but probably no lower. I've heard of 25pct before but I wouldn't go for that. 27 or 28 minimum or by mile

Thanks man. I found where it was I read it, but this is from like 2014 supposedly. Looks like it's talking about OTR in general though, so may not apply to tankers? Or maybe it does and it's only for the guys willing to stay out for months? Lol... Must be where I got the 28days on 5days off idea too...

Can't vouch for the source, but they claim to be waiting for a 2017 update from Schneider....

Lol 28 cpm.. you would only need to drive 5k miles a week and bring home a nice pay check lol. Schneider gives 6 days a month off no questions asked, my manager lets me take my days off all at once or split up. I just take off however many I feel like and they don't bother me. Usually I do about 7 off every 28 days. Sometimes it's 6..

@19d - once again, thx for the info in this thread.
I am also considering Schneider Bulk and will pay my own way thru school here also.

Questions - you are OTR bulk, correct ?

With how your running now do you have to get approval thru dispatch to take off between 2-4 days after running 10 - 12 days ? Or, do you just head towards the house?

The job that your on, is this the one that SNBC advertises choose your own 6 days off ?

I would be based out of Reserve, LA - To your knowledge, would all the terminals more or less allow one to follow the same schedule as you have posted here ?

Sorry about all the questions - just trying to learn more here about Schneider Bulk is all.

Hm. I have no idea whether salary exists or not, but a salary of $460/week and 28cpm is actually not the worst pay at all for a new driver. Even at 2k miles a week that's $460 + $560 = $1020/week. At 3k miles and 34cpm it'd be $1480/week.

Not a terrible way to get paid. If dead slow at least you make $460.
