So I ended up at the Schneider operations center in Dallas, parked till I unload later today at 1400, and I gotta say something... I hate coming to these box van terminals.. talk about some weird individuals.. I might be alittle weird too hell im not sure but these people You can't even carry a normal conversation with.. I gave up about 9 months ago.. now I just walk away and smile and wonder we'll the hell did Schneider find you at.. just my opinion and Opinions vary..
scythe08 Thanks this. -

Starting CDL school on the 19th, it's a done deal. Still following along with this thread.
Now, it is time to really dig into companies. I like what I've read about Schneider Bulk as a place to start, but there are others to look at too. Yup, will be doing the Apprenticeship Program wherever I end up. Can't leave that money on the table.
Schneider out of Charlotte may be the gig for me, since I will be moving towards the Asheville area anyway, so the drive is 6 one way and a half dozen the other until I have the cred to pickup a local gig with a gas company. -
19k and slim shady Thank this.

And layover pay also suck, 65 day.. but at end of week I always get my check and somehow I'm happy with what I ended with. But I also work bout as hard as I can during the week. I never waste a minute usually. 10 hour after 35 for unloading during summer sucks when u got some thick crap that needs pumped into totesClick to expand...19d said: ↑Well I'm sure you can do better, but it's not the bottom of the barrel from what I've been told by others. It's worth looking at for new cdl grads to get tanker training for sure I thinkClick to expand...
