Very nice. I've heard a lot of good about Superior. I may look there once I gain the experience and get moved.

I get zero credit for 20 plus years in the military from Schneider due having retired over 24 months ago. That means I'm just another FNG to them. They are starting me off at 41 cents per mile should I take the job. 3 pay increases over the first year to get me to 47 cents per mile. They also said I could do PA for training.

Schneider is still top of the list for first companies coming out of school, but I will entertain other recruiter's and offers. If another bulk/tank company gives me a bump in pay and they have a rep for getting drivers the miles, I may be changing lanes.

Spoke with the Superior recruiter and got the info on what to do to get on with them. That's a great deal which I'll be working to get my ducks in a row for.

    19d Thanks this.

You can't beat it right out of truck driving school if you can get hired All company drivers make the same pay rate no matter the experience. They are picky though. No doubt your military experience will help getting hired.

Yup, I have time to make my decision. Graduation isn't until the 14th. I like Schneider's training and they have a lot of positives. I like Superior's no nonsense language and I don't hear many negatives about them. They also have a terminal fairly close to where I'm moving.

I still cant average $1500 like you. Im trying so hard too!

I have been running everday since memorial day, did houston to portland to chicago. Grossed 1500$ that week. I was doing 550 miles min. daily, top was 778 miles(drove, 10hr, drove).

Week after that $980 gross. They hit me with garbage regional runs that 2nd week.

    Sigh :/

    19d and scythe08 Thank this.
