@19d or any others who may have input:
SNBC is advertising in my area (Baton Rouge)-
REGIONAL TANK new pay increase - up to .51/mile - up to 62K/yr. With 25% of pay from accessorials . Home weekly.
OTR TANKER new pay increase - up to .52/mile - up to 72K/yr. With 15% of pay from accessorials. 6 preferred days off/month hometime.
1. I do understand the "up to" portions are for experienced drivers. Not for new driver pay. ... However, does the % pay from accessorials seem accurate as to what you are receiving now?
2. On the hometime portion OTR - is there a problem with taking 7/8 days off per month instead of just the 6 days off ? Say work 12 days off 4; repeat
(i understand that you may not be eligible to receive SNBC bonus because of days off - but, are there any other issues with taking off like this)
Example of Schneider tanker pay

I have 9 months otr experience...
I haven't talked to hq yet, but any idea what cpm i would be looking at and you think I would qualify for a decent bonus?
Also re: otr...do you run mostly east of Mississippi or all over?
Thanks bro!! -

In my opinion, it matters where you are dispatched from. Im OTR, out of Gary Indiana terminal. It seems like the guys based in the south get more miles, because most of the freight is in the midwest and east coast. So they are going to get miles driving up north, and then dispatch has to send them home for home time(again more miles coming back). I dont get those miles, because Gary is not far away, as say houston?
As for the time off, i tried to work a month straight and take 6 consecutive days off. My Dbl(dispatcher) said no. Some guys might have have better dispatchers out of different terminals. Just my experience thoughTurbo Diesel Thanks this. -
Detention pay is a joke. Seriously, dont even consider it pay because you will be disappointed. Anytime you load, you get 25$, unload is 35$. Hard to determine % of weekly check, depends on how many loads you have. You might have no accessorial pay for the week if you do a lot of drop and hook that week. All depends.
You should expect 1k gross a week averaged out. 19D is a rare unicorn that makes above that, because of his experience and terminal location. Being in baton rouge you should do well, but your "region" will be everything east of mississippi.Last edited: Aug 9, 2017
