G'day it is always good to here from the drivers down under. I lived in N/T for 4 years in Darwin and worked at the RAAF base doing technical stuff. Man those road trains were something else. Reckon you've heard all those stories of how it used to be before the bush highways were paved? Rough times that would give any driver a headache.
I went a wee bit off topic but I wanted to say G'day.
Cheers -
No worries mate, yep i still remember the 1st time I came across a 4 trailer road train ( it was night time and pitch black), they wake u up real quick, thought it was a normal train travelling down the tracks, then realised ######! theres no train tracks it a road train, ##### -
The crankcase pressure specification is 3.0 inches of water.
Things you want to test is the turbo they will leak boost from the compressor side into the crankcase, 10 lbs pressure is all you need to test that, I keep and use the plastic cups you get from a new turbo, and the CAC test plug for that,
The valve guides, the CAC plug in the air inlet system you test the intake manifold for leaks as well as the boost sensor, and air compressor inlet, hose.
The compressor inlet hose you want to remove that, and pressurize it to test the compressor for blow by.
Just a thought!AUSSIE DAVE and king Q Thank this. -

I suspect you have just pinpointed a fault I have being trying to sort on a MAN truck we have. -
Thanks John, really appreciate your help. so anything under 3" is good, because im looking at a 14L series 60 in a iveco that has 1" . and if i understand correctly the lower the number the better?? is that correct p.s it is the same for 12.7l engine
