    Hi,
Can an Ontario, Canada “AZ” driver’s license be exchanged for a CDL license in the US? I’m especially curious about North Dakota, Montana and North Carolina?

I have my green card and can legally work in the US.

    Thanks in advance.

No exchange. Have to get it all over again. Same goes for American CDL holder coming to Canada. Stupid isn't it.

I got different responses in the US part of the forum.

Anyway, North Dakota says they have an exchange agreement with Ontario and I need to go to a driver's license office and bring my driver's license from Ontario, have my Soc Sec #, my green card with me, pay them $20 and pass a vision screening and they will exchange my AZ from Ontario for a CDL from ND.

I would call them up and confirm it.
