As things stand now, even if you go to court and win, you are guilty in CSA 2010's eyes. That citation is entered into the CSA computer system the instant it is printed.

    You can....

To weight your CSA score in your favor. And get $75 a pop for each passed inspection...at my company.

During my tenure at SRT, we had a driver with a Calvin sticker pissing on the letters DOT. He averaged 2 week for better than a month....at $50 a pop.

We have less than a month now till road check 2010.
Normally it is at least a little random. This year I hear they will be targeting small carriers and owner Ops. Like Washington, PA, NY, OR and others have been doing in day long events for the last few months.
They are trying to make sure that all company's have some inspections on the books for CSA2010.
I usually try and get off work that week lol, but will not happen this year.

I have personally had 4 inspections in the last 3 years. 1 with a large carrier and 3 in one year with a small carrier.
None in the last 7 months since I went back to a large company.
So I think they are a little misguided in there efforts, since they target mostly the small company's anyway. But the large ones are the ones that get the full audits on the current system.
My current company does not pay a driver anything for a clean inspection. But they do not have pre-pass either, so we get scaled at all scales.

Then doesn't that negate the entire legal system as we know it? No matter if A JUDGE FINDS YOU NOT GUILTY, YOU ARE STILL PUNISHED AS THOUGH YOU ARE!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
What's the point of fighting a ticket if you are going to lose anyway? This is making me too angry!

The last I read they are putting in a provision where you can dispute your score and what tickets increased it. But, this is after the score has been calculated, published on their site, and possibily cost you your job.

Points you didn't deserve anyway, yeah, the goobermint is ALWAYS the solution to our problems!!!
How do I explain that to my wife and kids when I lose my job and no one wants to hire me? I know! I'll just go on welfare and let the goobermint take care of me! Yeah right!!!

    You're right!

There are NO guarantees in life, But getting an inspection done at my leisure reduces the chances that I'll be pulled in when I'm in a hurry to get somewhere else.

I have never failed a roadside inspection in all of the years of being out here and I hardly ever get pulled around for inspection unexpectedly and on the rare occasions that I do I never worry because I don't give them a ration of ####, I run legal and keep my equipment in perfect working order, I secure my loads and act in a courteous and proffessional manner when I encounter law enforcement personel.

I have a good friend that has a truck almost exactly like mine, He keeps it in perfect condition just like me....But he runs like we used to in the old days and he has a big mouth and a bad attitude when being inspected or otherwise in contact with law enforcement.
He has problems all the time and always has because of his big mouth!

I have kind of a bad attitude at times too....It is a well known fact that I have little or no respect for law enforcement....But I'm not a moron, I know how to play the game when dealing with them!
They want the same thing we want...To be treated with a little respect and not be talked down to for doing their job!

So I act in a respectful manner regardless of my personal feelings and I have far fewer problems with law enforcement.
