Oatmeal and I wouldn't be a good combination in the morning without a well placed rest area!

I'm sure being a powerlifter, protein is something important. To the average driver, I would think that .25 grams per pound of body weight would be enough, depending on build. I probably get around .75 grams per pound, but I also lift weights and run 50 miles/week. Ultimately, I work out about 15 hours a week, but there is no need for 1 gram per lb. of body weight for me. I know if I was sedentary, it would be dramatically less.

One can easily keep their muscle while downing oatmeal and bananas and nothing else. Not guys that lift like you though.

Maybe if you're backed up...otherwise it keeps the system regular and predictable. Am I going to far?

I used to be a gym rat myself. Currently I'm down to 205 lbs (I prefer to be at 220) at 6' tall. Unfortunately I have a 34 in waist (should be 32). Sure do miss those days of working out at a gym at 4AM before my normal job. It's hard to stay in shape on the road...but I try anyway. Are you a vegetarian? Just wondering if that's why you drink so much milk for protein. Bill Pearl, one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time was a veggie.

Bill also knew Mr. Dbol and friends, remember? But back then, they were pretty easy on the juice compared to today. I'm 5'11", natural and about 210-215 with that same 34" pant size - gut is a bit bigger.
M.E. said .25g. protein for a driver, and that might be right, since it's a sedentary job unless you tarp or lump freight regularly. As for running and lifting at .75g/lb. - I'd say you're not training for gains, but for health only. You'll need 1g/lb. at least for gains, along with caloric overload on the bulk phase. I'll bet you look great tho.
(NO, that's not a GAY comment...so nobody start.)
The addition of so much milk is simply a preference many made (before ethanol drove up the prices) as a convenience and an alternative to shakes. Figure a pound of meat is about the size of your hand, at 16 oz. and one oz. is about 5g protein. That's 80g., leaving me needing to eat almost two more pounds in that 24 hr. period. Expensive and bloaty. Milk or shakes makes it easy.
I worked on 7', 280lb. Brian Adams ("Wrath" in the WWC) house and asked him what his favorite supplement was for keeping on the mass.
*in a deep, gruff voice* - "STEAK."

I've never been hardcore although my wife used to call the gym my "girlfriend." Just lifted for fun and to be healthy. Have tried glutamine and creatine but that's as far as I've ever gone with supplements. Next to other drivers I look pretty good. But I'm no way in shape. Plus I'm getting older and my last job really took a toll on my body. My knees start hurting if I run more than a mile so I walk instead. One of my shoulders has a tweak as well as one of my elbows so I have to go out of my way not to be intense when I lift. I only have a 25 LB DB in my truck so obviously I am far from lifting heavy. Still, if I do several sets of DB Shoulder at 15 reps, then do sets of DB curls at 15 as well, then do lots of sets of 15 pushups on the curb, I actually can get a pump if you can believe it.

Yea your right. I look excellent. LOL jk jk. Not right now. Today I sucked it up and knocked out 9.6 miles in an hour flat. It's been 6 months since I did that last. Huffin' and puffin' all the way. I used to crank out 11 in that time. I'll get it back.

So yea, I'm not a big guy. If I was, I'd be athlete of the year. Have you ever seen a heavyweight throw down a 4:25 mile? If so, tell me what he was on...price is not an issue.

How much knowlege do you have about juices?

Just enough to know basically how to run a cycle, or stack certain things, and do PCT, but as a natural, I'd only be interested in HRT (hormone replacement therapy) since my 56 yr old bod doesn't make much test anymore.
That said, I'd like to say that there's no such thing as a "hardgainer". But there are plenty of undereaters out there claiming this, and going to juice as a preference. But many of these guys have never even spent that first two weeks of stuffing themselves until the gut and metabolism get used to it. People screw up cutting too, by taking in hidden calories (usually high fructose corn syrup or sugars) or not reading labels and getting too much fat.
I'm no authority on juice, but have the websites to look up questions if needed. Here's a Q&A site:

I used to study it all in school. Its not as dangerous as the government makes it sound. I never took anything, because if I did it would be under physician guidance. International sports rules prohibit its use, so that is another thing.

I know what you mean about undereating. Never was my problem.:biggrin_25525:

Actually, some self-appointed govt. watchdogs and the media is what gave 'roids the bad rap. Along with a very few who took them lackadaisically and did not do a proper PCT. There's one butthead American Gladiator who quit using them and is writing a book about the 'dangers' of 'roids, because he got mastitis. This is really gonna tick off a few thousand athletes who do use hormonal assistance, since EVERYONE knows how to prevent that. He just wants to make money off of the media panic while it's rolling, and he knows he won't be a gladiator for too much longer, as he loses the freakish size that Hollyrot wants on the screen.
Were they legal again, you'd be totally amazed at how many of the young, healthy people there are who are not actually very young, due to hormones.
Many lifters have used them for decades without ill effects, almost every woman uses HRT (double standard: doc will write her a scrip even if she's just a bit low) in their later years.
There's a utube video about the longtime 'roid use and the push against them. I think it was called "Where are the Bodies?" or something like that.
My heros? Naturals like Hugo Rivera who got pretty big on food and workouts. But it's a very tight gameline to follow, as the body wants to go back to it's reductive state constantly. I hit 215 and I look fat; never did yet get that 220lbs. I want, but I'm working on it. Failing that, my other goal right now is a 460lb. deadlift I may get this year. Got 425 last year.
