Ummm... yeah. If you can figure out a way, why not? I don't know when they play, and I don't know how you intend to tape them. Perhaps you need to figure out a way to record their games before you even consider driving a truck, considering your warriors appear to be a deal killer for you?

Nobody is going to stop you from taping your games, but no company is going to assist you in doing so. Know what I'm saying here? That is all on YOU and has nothing to do with the company you drive for. Make sense?

Use the tivo or tivo like recorder at ur home to Record the games, then use the slingbox to watch the recorded games or live tv broadcasted from ur home from anywhere with your laptop. U can schedule all ur recordings remotely as well.

Plenty of walking/jogging can be done. Just park on the far side of the truckstop from the bathroom! :biggrin_25520:

Also you could probably walk around the lots of some of the shippers/receivers durring a particularly long load/unload.

Dumbells might work, but I think you'd be better off with resistance bands. (I'm the worst person to talk to about excercise though) because you can tone in directions other than perpendicular to the ground. Also you can do more types of excersizes.

Internet is better than TV. If you're from a major metro area you have no idea what passes for TV signal in more rural areas. Now that you can get wi-fi hotspots #### near nation-wide and wireless internet is becomming more common, why would you want a TV? Admittedly, I had so much fun watching the playoffs at the truckstops & terminals the last few years I might just take a 4wheeler out to the T/A now that I'm mostly home. (When half the room is from the other coast you get a heck of a lot more smack talking than you would at a local bar where 90% of the guys root for the home team.)

    As for clubbing? Hahahahahahh.

Seriously it could be done I suppose but you probably won't get your truck anywhere near where you'd WANT to be. And you sure as heck don't want to get caught "sleeping it off" in your sleeper. Even back there you can be cited for DUI.

Still if you know your way around, say NYC's Subways, Baltimore's inner harbor, Miami and Dallas, it's possible to have a night off and hit the club. (Admit it, we've all had times when dispatch forgot about us on a Friday and let us sit at a Pilot for the weekend.) Problem is luck will have it you'll be at a no-where place like Brera, KY. Henderson, NC. or Fort Smith, AK.

I've been to a few places that are exceptions. Austintown OH and Wheeling WV have stripclubs right next to the T/A. Mohegan Sun (Casino in CT.) has a bus lot that lets truckers park there. There's this awesome little BBQ place in OK that has nearly naked waitresses. And although I've never stopped there, there's a stretch of resteraunts, night clubs and topless bars just west of Knoxville.

I was glad to see this thread as I was considering starting one on it. I can't live without my running. I don't have to go every single day but I need to do it three to four times a week. It keeps me healthy and it keeps me sane.

I am curious, are you in your early 20's because when I was 18 - 24, sports and exercise were one of the most important things in my life too. I once quit a job because it interfered with my gym schedule lol. I don't even watch sports anymore when back then I used to pay extra for League Pass to watch ALL of the games.
