Thanks for the good idea. But this cummins happens to be located 40ft behind me in a diesel pusher motorhome. So if anything smells I wouldn't notice without going outside.
I do recall once after the stop engine came on and going outside to check on it I did get a whiff of some odd smell, but it did not last very long. Could have been something passing on the road, or just the smell of hot tires or brakes, as I have been outside near the exhaust during stop engines before and didn't smell anything obvious, but I wasn't looking for it.
With this in mind I will consider leaving the sensor connected and if I get the stop engine again I will go outside and sniff.
