    In checking into jobs. No matter how good of possibilities I have. I still have to do job checks for unemployment. So...
    I am surprised at some of the good trucking jobs I've found. Really good ones...
    Doing USMail, dedicated runs, overnight. Same for UPS and FedEx.
    Intermodal... Seems to be the cream of the crop? (best with a team)
    Expediting... Very interesting...high pay...(best with a team)
    And there is always Tanker...
    There are more of these jobs out there than I thought there would be.
    Got quite a file of jobs. Possibilities.
    I admit. I've been looking forward to going OTR. The constant changing. Nothing ever getting into a daily grind. Always different.

    Go BIG or go BROKE. I expedite, 53' van... I normally haul a few skids, if that, sometimes I throw the load in the front seat. And I pick up quite a few loads that someone sent a straight truck for, I get those four extra skids they could not fit on his, and I make more money than him. ;-)

    What part of the country are you in as that looks like a decent selection. A dedicated home weekly gig would be right up my street when I'm done with OTR.

    I'm keeping the option to move, open. Even then, many go all over, so it doesn't matter much on OTR. I did find one local, goes from here to DesMoines Iowa for mail run each night. Home everyday. Many of these I've run across are either in, or east of Denver. Many in Nebraska, Iowa, and the midwest. Schneider said they would fly me to the terminal to do the DG accounts in my area. I'm north of Denver. Obviously it's doing much more than just my area. 4 to 5 states he said. Work three weeks. Fly me back home for five days. Then fly back out.

    If DG is dollar general then everything I have heard would suggest staying far away from that job even if they are flying you first class.

    I don't know what the heck I was thinking when I wrote this. There is no way DeMoines to here and back is overnight. It's almost 9 hours one way. Maybe stay overnight. But no way go there and back in one night.

    On DG.... I've read all the stories. I'm afraid some of them are from disgruntled lazy people. Coming up with excuses to not do anything. .... I am still considering DG. I know the importance of exercise. If I rehabilitate myself enough to do it. Just might. Gotta see.... Yes, another injury that Doctors didn't do diddily about....only made other things worse... "We'll worry about the legs later."... When that is what I went in there to see two different ones about! Disgusting! They're just playing Doctor.
    And yes, I don't have any problem doing a driving job with this injury. Get around just fine. I'm to the point that I just can't do very much yet. No loading and unloading like a DG account yet. Either way, I'm working in rehabilitating to the point that I can. ... at least someday. I've rehabilitated from worse.
