I’m sitting in Tulare at Loves I see a few trucks that are pre emissions in the parking lot. Talked to a local driver last year and he was running his truck regularly in CA had it registered in Arizona.

Not sure but I've heard if you're hauling agriculture you can still enter with an older truck, again, don't quote me on that. I sure wish someone would fess up though and give their experience going in with an older truck whether it was ag or not.

You know, i wondered the same thing. I know they banned all trucks older than 2010 or whatever year they decided (even though they started this nonsense to begin with) that were registered in the state of California. So i wondered if you could still bring a pre emissions truck into California or if they'd turn you around or what. Still not very clear on it, but i have seen pre emissions trucks out there seemingly without issue. But i got stuck up in Oregon last winter and was talking to the guys on the radio and one said he had like a '14 Freightliner glider pre emissions that he left behind and brought his '23 or '24 Pete because he had to go to California. I don't know if he just didn't want the possible hassle or what.

And this attitude right here is why we’re so far away from the Liberty we were founded upon.

Not at all. There should be a trucker strike in California. It would be akin to tar and feathering…like they used to do.

I hope so many old trucks overload California. It would be great to see people redressing these terrible laws, restrictions, regulations and Karenism, all while their gross polluting neighbors from afar affects their pollution far more than letting older trucks run in California.

    • Air quality
Air pollution from China can affect the air quality in California in a number of ways, including:
      • Ozone: A NASA study found that smog-forming chemicals from China have undermined California's progress in reducing ozone. Ozone can be harmful to people, animals, crops, and other materials.

      • Particulate matter: The EPA estimates that on some days, nearly 25% of the particulate matter in Los Angeles can be traced to China.

There is nothing wrong with California. All it takes is to vote the other direction than they do now...

People forget how much of this countries food comes from Cali.

I never been to Cali: but I have had multiple sniffer tests in CT and one in NJ as well/ being that they follow California’s lead in such things, seems a safe bet that there is sniffer tests there.
Pretty easy to avoid having an umbrella handle in your stack and a plug in your dash at this point. Don’t know how long that will last though.
