they shouldnt ticket the driver... if i get one im making them pay for it as I dont load the truck

OK so as earlier, I had a truck with steering problems that was ALL over the road, so the shop told me where to park and they had a tow company bring me out another truck. This truck was no prize either and still had quite a bit of quirks, at least the steering was fine. I had to do my 16 hour rule again as they sent me from 158 to 152, thankfully 152 has a switcher on all day/night so i didnt have to break the set twice.

So I get back and didnt get my 3 hour pay for the break down, so the dispatcher said to go into the shop, guy was giving me attitude about it all and said how does he know im telling the truth or lying, I said to him ill show you the calls i made of the times, plus im new so I dont really know what to do. Then he flips on me and says your a f&*(ing liar, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the truck, the tow guy said it and towed it 70mph back, then the truck went out on two trips, and now it has a broken windshield and points to it... I look at it and say that is NOT the truck I had, two differents numbers, and 2nd dont talk to me like im a piece of #$%^. This isnt the first time i had problems, last week I was pulling 50k through the mountains and one area gets REALLY steep down and up and of course my engine brake decided to stop working. I called the shop and whoever was working gave he so much attitude about it and told me to just suck it up. I told him have you ever driven through these mountains with no brake, and im 10 miles away from another yard. They wouldnt let me switch so I just took my time with it, even though it was a hot load, ill tell you one thing those brakes were burning like crazy!!! If it was like 20k i wouldve been fine without it but not 50k

I told management and the shop stewards today that for now on I WILL NOT drive a truck without a write up sheet in it... They both said thats fine and actually encourage it..

Well of course we got anoth nor-eastern storm coming our way, going to check the weather to make sure before I make the choice tomorrow

@skinny thats great to here... im sure he will be fine then, welcome dump trucking

@squonk, we got some really ghetto weigh stations out here

@cool35 NY and NJ are like that, 55mph in most places, especially with all the road work going on here... they are redoing the whole NJ turnpike, pretty much every interstate I went on today had road work... got really annoying

The company pays for any and all overweight fines but it still goes on the drivers record so be careful guys.

At least they pay the fine. At Reddaway it's on us! Think it's our problem if we run out of fuel too.

Boy, the first part of this trip was dangerous. Can't believe how nice it is in Buffalo.

Went to Long Island and Brooklyn today, only 268 miles but traffic was awful, no storm but VERY VERY high winds... Hopefully tomorrow will be good too so I can use this weekend to start moving into the man cave

I have a interview at NEW PENN in Dunmore PA at 1.00 p.m. on Monday. I just had a horrible 7 nightmare with Sysco, so I hope this works out. Always wanted to get in with a teamster companhy
