    Never heard of it either...

' well Squonk a cb is fun, a lot of sleeper trucks do talk a lot of trash about us. Saying we are good for nothing union scum. Normally I will trash them right back and they shut up. Last week at 2am on i95 in New Hampshire I was in the right lane of a four lane highway, no one anywhere. Then this OTR mega carrier comes out of nowhere and gets on my @&$. Then he tells come on come on roadway truck speed limit is 65 not 62 do you know how to read? I reply our trucks are governed at 62, nothing I can do about it, so he yells again then move the #### over so I can pass, too which I say look to your left, as you see three passing lanes, all clear, move the #### over yourself... After that no response and he takes off.

Another day on i81 where the lanes and highway all merge into one side of the highway for the construction, it says 55, but I was doing 50 as they were working and last thing I want to do is kill some one who's not paying attention, heard over the CB this yellow/roadway guy is going slow, no wonder why they are going out of business, and I got on and said, a lot of hate and wanting to speed in a work zone eh? And what's with the hate for my job? Are you just pissed they wouldn't hire you, or that I'm doing the same mileage as you do a week and sleep in my own bed every night? After that I got a big %### you lol.

At times the CB can be fun, lately it has been nothing but idiots and cb ramblers. Guesss that's just in New England.

yea Boston is rough, it's a 434 round trip, but i84, and i90 aren't the greatest highways. After there I went to 186, to BJs then to 145, then back to 123, 476 miles, lots of hook time, although after 145 I had two pups with 21 each and a truck that couldn't pull, and got caught in a bad storm, had to use a 16 hour rule, just made my 11 hours too

Yeah, I know, there are a bunch of redneck re###ds on there. I wont be using it much though. Mostly to check on gridlocks & so forth.
Well, just got woke up for a St. Louis turn, later...

Sometimes you meet good guys on there, one Harrisburg run I ran into an ABF guy from the hub by me going there as well, made a night go fast. Even stopped for coffee. I've chatted with a few people before, sometimes in traffic you meet some characters.

yea just woke up for a rail yard sub turn. Nice easy day hopefully

I'm still a diehard cb Rambo. It's one of those things in life that its nice to have if you need it but sucks if you don't have it. I still have the same handle I started out with 16 years ago. Risky Business. Almost back to 309 and since our new bids start next week we won't have the hours to finish up our week so we are off until next week. I was gonna hop in the car and spend the rest of the week with the wife and kids but they are calling for 9 inches of snow at my house tonight so I will just get up in the morning and beat feet north.

Oh yeah, I need a handle. I'm sure it will be hard to talk on it til I learn the lingo & stuff. Anywho, I got a Cobra 29 LTD Classic & had it peaked & tuned (whatever the hell that means). Also got a Wilson 5000. Wasn't able to have it tested & adjusted today because of the weather, so, I'll just hook it up, straight out of the box, when I get the call in the morning & see if it will work, then, when I get back, I'll stop over there and have it adjusted & such. 10 - 4 good buddy.

The first lingo you should learn is "Good Buddy". It's lingo for a gay truck driver. Lol. Somewhere along the way it changed to that. Not sure why but I would be careful using it.

I'm still learning. A lot of New Yorkers and New England isn't that friendly.

Boy was I wrong for today. It was a change and was to go to Cheshire, Ct, our only terminal in CT. 87 miles away, from there I brought an empty can to 150, to find out they messed up so I went to Tappen wire to swap it with for a loaded trailer, then it's 8pm and I'm ready to go home since I only had 5.5 duty hours left. So they say go to the rail yard to drop trailers and bob tail with solely back. Left terminal at 12.45. I'm under 14 hours towards my 70, guess I'm not working tomorrow

Yesterday, the dispatcher called my name, handed me the bill & payreq, I clocked out & was on my way for a St. Louis turn. Got to St. Louis, handed them the bill/payreq, dispatcher says, "someone elses name is on this payreq". I took a look & holy crap, dispatcher had handed me the wrong stuff. lmao! Can't believe I didn't check to make sure my name was on it. lol Ended up no big deal.

Just got wake-up call for another St. Louis turn. You bet I'm gonna check the name on the payreq. lol

I agree ACH1130, New Yorkers & Bostonians are rude. Sup with that? So are Chicagoans, now that I think about it. Hell, Buffaloans as well. lol

Made a mental note not to say 'good buddy' my first time on my CB. lol Are you allowed to cuss on it?
