YRC uses the rail all day in Fontana, CA. I used to run the rail all day long for 12 hours straight, back in 2007. Was easy money, but I would have much rather run those trailers cross country in teams. If only San Bernardino had team runs back then. That yard is gone now anyway. They moved to the Roadway yard in Bloomington, CA. 2007 was good till I got laid off.

nothing like sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on the L.I.E. and the BQE... think they might be worse driving than i84.
@cool35 the rail yard we normally do is 72 miles in the dirty jersey. Then we got one we go to in Harrisburg, normally when we do a harrisburg turn they send us there, Ive dont it twice from 123. its 209 miles away. Both times I had to bob-tail the whole way there, and pick up a heavy van -
This is becoming a joke. AGAIN in the shop for a truck that has NO FUEL. Are the switchers here seriously mental? Hooking up truck no fuel, octagon shaped tires on dolley. And the shop is on break at this time. Keeps eating my hours up!!!!

Did you guys hear that yrc tried to buy abf in march? Don't they need money to do that? How about giving back pay, 401k, pensions, vacation, etc first
-
