Wow, you're way up there. Anyway, finally on my way back out. 5 hour layover pay with a meal. Cool!

 

Well boys I'm gonna take a couple of days off for my anniversary and go up to northern Cali. No not on the I-5! Going up the 101 to Pacific Grove and stay at a bed and breakfast. It was 93 degrees out in the Los Angeles area today! Been hot for the last 3 days. Gonna be a high of 59 in Pacific Grove. Looking forward to it. Catch up with you guys later, be safe.

ACH, I believe you're right about those companies never selling. Hopefully we will see a pay raise soon and I hope you guys get that sweet pension going again!

Hello all. New to the site. I'm going through the hiring process at YRC now...had my interview, background check, and went for my drug test. Now I'm waiting for the all clear and then get a start date.

Squonk...it looks like you're gonna have 1 more under you on the list...Indianapolis terminal is hiring me. Reading these threads and finding out how much you guys like working for YRC has really put my mind at ease.
I read a post you put up (last year I think) that said they sent 35 driver jobs to Indy and only 15 transferred (needed 20 more), how many have they hired since then? Thanks.

Welcome Sammy. I could post some stuff of what I have heard but I have learned to not to believe most, or I should say half what I hear so I won't post any hearsay stuff. I'll just say you'll like it in Indy. From the year that I've been with the company & all the terminals in mid-west region, I think 324 is the best. Most the drivers (nearly all), are really good dudes & the dispatchers are good people too. I still love this job, as you can probably tell. Anyway, I just got home from a 5 day run ($$$) & I'm sleepy as hell. I look forward to meeting you. Goodnight guys.
