Just to warn you Fedex Freight is very anti Union.

I work at 123 Maybrook, NY. Full time city driver. I'm on the 11am Monday - Friday bid currently. It's hard for me to compare to a combo position like yourself, I never had to work the dock. I casualed the city for exactly 30 days and then made the list. It's not a hard job by any means, and the union mentality is nice to work with. But I'm afraid I disagree with some people who think the company is gonna turn around and get back to where it used to be. My father peddled for Yellow between 1987-2000 and it was the best job back then. Personally, I'm very close to being hired on the corrections department in my area.. If all goes well I'll be headed down that career path and leaving YRC in the rear view.

Smart man! I've worked at Deer park 116 for almost 6 months, no freight, damaged freight, and poor policies in place! I brought home $491 last week!

Wow that's not good... Lowest amount I brought home in a week was like $600 and change, and that was only 4 days work.. 5th day off unpaid, low on OT and union dues taken out of that check as well.

except for the fact that yrc isn't even paying on its enormous debt. theyre spending every penny they get on upgrades, overdue maintenance and ceo payraise.. I wouldn't hold your breath for that gold mine payraise.

This thread shouldn't die. We should all be interested in what's going on at YRC. I read that a raise went into effect recently. I'm guessing it was for tenured employees and not new hires.

Across the board, roughly 2com or 34 cents an hour.
