They layed off 6 guys at 309 the week of thanksgiving and called em all back this week. Only 2 returned. The weather sucked big time in Wyoming this week. Lucky for me I was in bed. Here's the pics. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Yeah, I have a feeling some of the 23 guys (& girl) that got laid off @ 324 wont be coming back. Especially the person who got laid off 1 week after being hired. lol I just hope the guys who are supposed to retire soon, retire. Anywho, I hope I can 'keep'er runnin', but, I'm sure I'll get sent home after this. Well, I better hit the sack in case I get called on my eight. Later...

Horrible week starting out... Straight truck again, and two others blew the engines... I lost ALL my keys in hunts point (Bronx). Had to get a ride home, then back to get the truck. Get home at 11pm. Had to take off today to get new keys programmed for the truck. 400 dollars later...

This is why I like my firebird, it's 4 dollars for new keys

    Damnn, that sucks ACH.

I woke up in 241 (Cincy), went across the street to Cracker Barrel. Had a nice haddock dinner. Nibbling on the fudge I bought there in my hotel room right now 49.gif . Hope they don't send me home tonight. Made pretty good bone so far (Indy -> St. Paul -> St. Louis -> Cincinnati). Will be a nice check just before X-Mas. Heard from a reliable source they will start hiring everyone back right after the holidays.

Ah I love Cracker Barrel, closest one to me is a hour away. I just applied for a trade apprentice job today... I'm still afraid of getting laid off again as all the dock guys became drivers and there's still no dock bid

Well because of that stupid straight truck I got injured today at work... Maybe now they will either fix it or get new ones with bigger lift gates

Hope you didn't get hurt bad. If I was in my twenties I'd be tempted to join up too. I'd try for something medical while I was in, then come out and try for cop, highway patrol or DOT! lol If that didn't work, then use the medical experience and free community college benefit for some medical job and use my military time to help get into the VA system.
