Just heard they layed off 12 more at 309 effective Sunday. That brings it up to a total of 18 layed off at my barn

Probly why he took it because of the layoffs

Hey ST, if they are laying guys off this late in the game, does it mean the layoffs will last longer?

@ ACH. Wish I could be there to but YRC insists on paying me a lot of money to work on the holiday. Kinda embarrassing the money I make for workin holidays.

@Squonk. No. Layoffs usually last until the end of January or sometimes into February. Everything slows down from now until then. Of course that could change with the pending Fiscal Cliff. Keep your fingers crossed guys. Could be a bumpy ride.

Well, that's good news. Guess I'm always looking for reassurance. lol Can't wait to get a year under my belt. As for 'Fiscal Cliff', I think it's a bunch of hyped up BS. I hate politicians.

Well I didn't plan on going out tonight. I was SOOOO shot after a 13 hour day. I was ready to pass out then an old friend calls me flipping out she's back in town for another day and I better come hang out. So I did, met with some other friends, one who wants to join the Air Force as well so he recommended a good recruiter. All in all after a rotten day the night was better. Now getting some food and snacks for tomorrow's snow storm
