Hey guys I've been wanting to post this topic for a bit to see what we can dig up.

Im curious about CDL jobs that require experience. Not necessarily the pay but im sure they go hand in hand, right?

I was driving a few weeks ago and seen a truck trailer and on the back it had there advertisment and they required 3 years to get hired and drive for them.

I forgot the name of the company it was and is one reason out of a few I would like to try compile a short list of company's that are experience only hires.

Please list a company you know of that requires 1-2+ years to get hired. No fresh meat. Only aged to perfection.

I was so paranoid right out of truck driving school I didn't get into an accident until after my first year driving when I thought I knew something

I know drivers that get their driver license and let it roast for couple years. Okay, let me explain. Companies up in Northern Cali want more experience for insurance. Pay rate, yeah it okay!

Yep. My company "requires" 1 year, but most of the drivers I work with have over 10 years experience. And the money is definitely there.

Im aged to perfection after 30 years.

3 years you are still getting to learn the details. Ive been told over and over, the big stuff aint the problem it's the devil in the details that bite me. (Think breaking west coast mirror on tollgate in Breezewood, remember those?)

I offer McKesson. Ive talked about them over and over on this forum. As far as I am concerned million dollars prey behavior outbound from Memphis and reload with cardboard right back to memphis. Drop trailer. Dig through a pile of bill envelopes, choose one. Go get new load Repeat. I do suggest you do it with a team. You will be doing Chicago or Detroit next morning virtually daily.
