Yep. Company starts at 37-cpm, plus 5-cpm in a lightweight, plus 5-cpm if you live in the NE and work in the NE-regional reefer fleet, plus fuel bonus. ICs are paid 72% of linehaul, fuel surcharge and accessorials.
Figure on 2400 to 2800 miles per week average on the company side. On the lease side, there really isn't any way to forecast your take... it all depends on how you run your business. You can do very well to bankrupt depending on how you go about it.

10.2k per month for me so far this year, but I'm on percentage not mileage pay. On the lease side it's all about gross revenue.
Can't help ya there.
No... it's not a bad place to drive at. They generally leave you alone as long as you make your appointments, don't collect tickets, and don't run into stuff. I've never been forced to run in conditions that just aren't safe, and they keep their equipment up. That being said, not everyone likes Prime. But some foiks don't like apple pie either... go figure.
No disagreement there.Last edited: Aug 31, 2013

Yes but lacks alot of info. We all know why though they hope potential drivers will call the recruiter and let them recruit and promise the world. I was talking to one deiver in cottondale fl been with prime three years. Said he got a 9cp. Fuel mileage bonus for getting 9.2 mpg hows that work...

It's more a case of the prospects reading the world into the answers the recruiters give them. BTW, if they catch a recruiter stretching answers into lies, they're terminated. My own experience with them is that they went out of their way to paint an accurate picture of what I could expect. At least, that was MY experience.Drac1985 Thanks this.

I am a IC a run as a team not a TNT team. My co-driver is paid by prime .12 CPM with a W2 I pay him .08 CPM with a 1099. its hard to say how much ill take home every week. As a IC if your truck gross $10,000 you are looking at about $4000 that week take home. then on Tuesday I start -$2000 and start all over again so its kind of hard to say what I make every week. I just got home to Washington state on Tuesday I Had a revenue of $7800 so I figured I have a $2000 week. I had another trip to scan if I scanned it in ill have $11000 week $3900 take home. As soon as I leave home on Monday ill be -$2000 started off. So I decided not to scan my trip in and ill be about -$200 in the hole. so its always different every week. Remember that as a Company driver home time is 4 days max but as a IC you can take as much home time you can afford but we still have a truck payment this time I'm taking 7 days off cause I did not want to come out ofd the house on the weekend and deal with the weekend dispatcher. Hope this all help

thanks for the input. Looking like prime or jct either way ill be paying her on a 1099.
Figured we are young and on the off chance something happens. Alimony wont be a issue as im not the sole breadwinner nor supporting her. Both be pulling a salary with remainder staying in business account.
