Everyone keeps on saying it’s bad time to enter. No one says why. If it’s so bad then why don’t u guys sit at home lol and find a different job. Everyone obviously making more money than a normal labor job in factory. It’s just that owner operator not making as much as they used to.
I want to hear what your reason was to not enter the industry now because all you said was “ it’s not good time “ too lol

We are in the middle of the trough of the wave, hopefully. It’s far easier to start out once the market stabilizes. There are so many hunting for scraps to avoid a repo or bankruptcy, and they are trapped with a truck and trailer that’s worth far less than they paid last year, sky high fuel and low rates. Do what you want. Hopefully you have a fat bank account after you pay cash for your equipment.

It's not bad if you know a few people and understand the market. If starting out it would be real bad but can be done if you can do it right. Everyone says it's always a bad time to get in and I heard it when I was getting in 4 years ago. So it really just depends on yourself on how it goes. If you can do it when it's hard you should prosper when it is great. So my advise if you are ready just jump in and make sure you have plenty of money for down time, rebuilding engine, and any bad issue with the Emissions system.

Brand new truck is too expensive for it being my first truck. I was thinking about getting extended warranty because I’m worried about engine failure too. What are your thoughts on it?
