I just had a Kenworth salesman tell me he could get me a motor warrenty from a co they deal with on the motor in a t2000 I was looking at. This truck has JUST under a million miles. I fail to see how any company could give that kind of warrenty unless they just flat out don't pay out anything. Am I mistaken here? Are these all scams or is there some merit to them?

has the motor ever been rebuilt? if so then i can see them doin a warrenty without much problem, but if not then...well lets just say i wouldnt bend over around them

    i guess i could explain....
i bought a used pickup years ago, and a power train warrenty...2 months later the 460 goes sky high, and i spend a month fighting the warrenty company to fix it, they finally did but i had to have a lawyer start filling paperwork

Read the fine print on the warranty. I have found that most of the time they aren't worth the paper they are written on unless it is a OEM extended warranty and those aren't much better. They have too many clauses and if it's through a third party it's normally worth even less. I'll find my info on those and post it here later this weekend.
