Mount it on the bottom of the passenger's mirror, outside. That way you won't get feedback when you key up.

If you can't hear it, unplug it and use the speaker in the radio.

I attached mine down low on the passenger seat frame with velcro. Ran wires under the carpet. Fires the speaker sounds directly at me.

i agree with jezter. try turning the talk back down.. I have never had a problem no matter where I have mounted the speaker once I got the talk back right. I may have just been lucky but try that first and let us know what that does.

If your radio was set up right, it shouldn't back feed. That said, I have mine just setting on the dash against the window behind the radio. If you will take the excess external speaker wire and wrap it around and around the speaker, and then plug it in, it may solve your problem. (drove a columbia before getting the cascadia)

I have mine mounted on the wall above my left ear. Leave the talk back off and no problem with squeeling and I can hear it ten times better and don't need much volume to understand what others are saying.

Im using a buddys radio that has the talk back in it. I dont care much for it but he wants to see me use the radio and says its better then the one i have already. Is there a adjustment or switch inside to shut the talk back off?
