Not my style but as long as the one driving it likes it that's all that should matter.
Personally I like the shifter knob to be a couple inches above thigh level.bzinger, God prefers Diesels, Coffey and 6 others Thank this. -

I want to shorten my shifter about a foot..Tired of getting poked in the caboose when I’m trying to get into the sleeper..
Who knows, maybe even start a new fad?
Like the Mexican driver who put new CB antennas on without a wrench..first time he stopped they tilted forward..the rest is historyPhoenix Heavy Haul, Coover, D.Tibbitt and 7 others Thank this. -
The tall shifter is a great way to establish dominance over the lowly auto trucks by raising the custom shiny shifty device up for all to see and appreciate while simultaneously slamming ones seat to the floor to save from being bothered by the sight of anything within 50' of the truck. It's a fine tuned recipe to be this cool and is best when topped off with a flat bill hat, dark shades and a quality neck tattoo!

Wow, I must be behind the times... is that actually a thing? Or was that one pic photoshopped? I can see swapping out a shift lever for something slightly taller to suit one's style, but high overhead like ape hangers on a bike? I guess I'm gettin' old, I just don't see the advantage of it...
P.S. Reminds me of those 'Crusty Demons of Dirt' videos where those Metal Mulisha boyz put ape hangers on dirt bikes, go karts, etc.Last edited: Jan 29, 2023
