The one thing I usually shortened was the anchor for the seat belt for the driver's seat. Got tired of having it stab me in the leg when moving to the sleeper. Took it apart and cut it down about 4 inches so it was below the bottom of the seat cushion.

Well, always been a fan of the task force trucks, so I traded it for the 1955 2nd series I have in the shop that came out of SC.
The 66 was still original mechanically, 3 in the tree with 6 in a row to make it go.
Guy drove by and seen my 65 mercury and just had to have it, so the 66 was part of the deal along with a kubota tractor and $$….
