Probably depends on the state. In Michigan if I remember right my license is good for 4 years. Every other renewal they do the eye test. So every 8 years.nredfor88 Thanks this.

the question is about picking up your CDL after passing the driving test (and having a approved med card in hand)

if you can't see, don't drive. -
he's been doing it for 7 years without so much as a traffic ticket with a 25k cmv. But i'm positive the Super Truckers will troll this thread soon.

i never had that happen. i usually always had a doctors eye exam, and the DMV accepts that.
if he had his DOT physical, that should have already been done.
but, anything is possible these days, like a breathing toxic air tax.
