I am trying to figure out how this EZPass stuff works, I am signed in under my fiance's log in, he's on the road and had assigned me the task of looking into getting EZPass for him. I have looked at the site, and I am lost. How does this work? He is never in the same state, do I have to get a pass for each state or it is for all states? Can anyone help this poor blonde please!! LOL

It does not matter what state you get your ezpass from it'sall the same. I use Ipass from Illinois Tollway and it works on all the ezpass toll roads. Had ezpass from NJ but I think you can get it in any state that has ezpass toll roads.

I second what the previous poster said. Mine is through NY and it is good in any state that takes Ezpass.

http://www.ezpass.com/
sign up here. You will have to fax a copy of the cab card to have them turn on teh states that the truck will be running.
I heard they are running 1 month free using promo code "free" -
if you get bestpass.com it is ezpass thru the ny motor truck association and you do not need to put as much money in at a time and it puts you in a big pool that will give you better discounts plus they can set you up to operate in the whole country with 1 transponder
ez pass requires enough money for 45 days -
dont forget that its easily trackable and your logbook better match up with when you went through the booths. Bad thing is that you have no record of what time you went through when you need to creatively log.

i was trained at crst by an owner op...one time he got pulled over for speeding (i think he was doing 65 and the speed limit had just dropped to 55 and he missed the sign because he was on the phone) by tennessee dot, and guess what his logbook looked like? LINE 2! he FREAKED OUT. as soon as we stopped, hes like YOUR LOGBOOK. DO SOMETHING. ANYTHING. LOL. (mine had no lines yet).
the officer did a level 3, ran my license too, but never asked for my logbook. And i dont know if he just didnt look at mr its ok to drive on line 2's logbook or if he just didnt care or what. He got a speeding ticket, nothing else. and the officer spent a loooong time doing the inspection. Mr Drive on Line 2 was freaking out the whole time...
oh and right infront of the officer i handed him his cheatsheet by accident. he gave me a grumpy look and gave it back to me... -

I mean, creative logging is one thing, but the way he logged was just plain a good way to end your career.
